The Research Institute of Shanghai Carbon Works （ SCW ） , originally the Central Laboratory of Shanghai Carbon Works, was started in 1965 with the vital task of developing novel carbon materials suitable for special purposes. To meet the requirements of the development of science and technology, the name of the Central Laboratory of SCW in 1984. To cope with the demands of socialist market, in 1996 we set up a new independent marketing company, Shanghai Xinxing Carbon Limited Company, in 2005, the company has been renamed Shanghai Sxcarbon Technology Co.,Ltd(SXC), the main tasks and the properties of the company remain unchanged, The company and the institute co-exist. In Augest 2000, SCW joined Jilin Carbon (Group) Company, the largest carbon group in China. It gives SXC an excellent opportunity of development. At present, the name of SXC exists and the formal name of our institute is the Research Institute of Shanghai Carbon Works, Jinlin Carbon Group.
At present SXC can supply you with isotropic high purity graphite, high density, high strength and high purity graphite pyrolytic graphite, continuous filaments of PAN based carbon fiber, chopped carbon fiber and carbon fiber powder, carbon cloth with various weaves, graphite cloth, carbon fiber and glass fiber mixed weaving cloth, carbon fiber prepreg (Hot Melt Method), viscose based carbon fiber cloth, PAN based carbon felt, graphite felt, carbon fiber cord, a variety of carbon fiber reinforced plastics and products thereof, special-shaped graphite products, pyrolytic graphite coated on the surface of products and so on.
